| Aluminium Extrusion Billets are primary aluminium alloy ingots, their shape is cylindrical and their size is suitable to be used in extrusion presses. |
The billets are solidified by the direct chill, vertical semi-continuous casting method (Wagstaff Air Slip) and they are further processed by an automated continuous homogenisation system, according to specific standards.
The billets are used for the extrusion process, where they are heated to extrusion temperatures before undergoing severe mechanical work in an extrusion press.
The final destination of these products are extrusion sections for aluminium carpentry (framework, civil works, etc.) bodywork for coaches and trucks, railway wagons, bicycles, domestic appliances, and tubes in general.
